What got you started surfing- My love for water. I was raised appreciating water from an early age. I started competion swimming at the age of 8 and I started surfing at 12.

What keeps you surfing- Surfing to me is therapeutic. I get in the water for exercise, camaraderie, & head clearing.

Most memorable surf- Perfect 4-5 foot North swell at County Line. 3/4 guys and 50 dolphins sharing the stoke.

Dream surf trip, whether you've already taken it, or dream of going- May 2004. 'Old Man's' in Cabo. 8-10 foot perfect rights, 72 degree water, Patch and I getting 30 second noserides, no one else out that can surf.

Favorite break- too many to list. Here's a small list: County, Sunset, C-Street, 'Secret Spot', 'San O', East Cape Cabo, Old Mans - Cabo

How has surfing changed you- Surfing has rooted me and kept me in check as to how small we really are in the scheme of things.

What do you do when there are no waves- After taking care of things that I don't have time for when surfing, anything outdoors.

Favorite surfers- so many that I draw inspiration from.....

Surfing pet peeve- people who don't take the time to learn etiquette and respect.

Anything to add- People need to remember how fortunate we are to live where we do and to be able to surf the waves we surf. Learn to love & appreciate waves whether they are 1 foot & poor or 5 foot and perfect. They all can be as fun as you make them. Respect to all in the water (human or animal)
