What got you started surfing- After moving to Florida from Louisiana (20 years ago), one of my classmates decided to "take the redneck out of" me by showing me how to surf. 

What keeps you surfing- Pure, unfettered, stoke.

Most memorable surf- Went to Maui in July of 03.  Didn't expect any surf with it being summer but decided to hit up Kaanapali for the helluvit.  Nothing but perfect shoulder high beauties peeling left off the reef in warm water when I arrived.  It was great to say the least.

Dream surf trip, whether you've already taken it, or dream of going- One of these days, I'd like to surf the Mentawais.

Favorite break- I haven't found it yet.  My  most frequent break is Sunset due to locale.

How has surfing changed you- It's screwed me up since I can't go a couple of days out of the water without getting extremely antsy.

What do you do when there are no waves- See above.

What are you trying to do or learn to raise your level of surfing- I'm trying to surf as much as possible (with a wife and two babies) to increase my abilities.

Favorite surfers- Rob Machado.

Surfing pet peeve- Wave hogs

Ideal surf conditions- 3'-5' and peeling
